Chateau Le Rey 'Les Rocheuses' 2020
Cotes de Castillon, France
RRP: €35 | Mixed Case Price: €27.50 abv: 13.5%
75cl Bottle
Staggeringly good Bordeaux. Deep & rich, with precise and finely tuned tannins. It is complex and structured, whilst achieving the balance of freshness from the limestone plateau it is grown on. Vines are 40 years old. The winemaking is completed by the team from Chateau Bellefont Belcier which is almost three times the price of this wine. You're in for a treat. It is drinking wonderfully right now.
Domaine de La Motte Chablis
Burgundy, France
RRP: €26 | Mixed Case Price: €24 abv: 12.6%
75cl Bottle
Lots of lovely ripe peach and apricot aromas, caramelized apples and hot stones on the nose. Followed by generous, pronounced fruit on the palate with nectarine skins and baked peaches balanced firmly by a rounded, lemon-flesh acidity.
Les Crus Du Sud, Lirac
Lirac, France
RRP: €18 | Mixed Case Price: €16 abv: 14%
75cl Bottle
The Underdog Cru. In general, the wines are softer than those of its Cru peers. Here, it’s all about the fruit driven finesse of Grenache. Vines have been one of Lirac’s top assets for two thousand years. In the 16th century, its wines were already popular with the world’s nobility, and were served at royal courts in France and beyond. Lirac became a cru of the Côtes du Rhône on October 14th, 1947. The terroir is a classic limestone covered with a layer of red clay and pebble which have perfect draining qualities. This wine is a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre. Rich and ripe with complex notes of dark berries and savoury spice.
Terre Fidelé l'Ombra de Queribus
Cotes de Roussillon, France
RRP: €22 | Mixed Case Price: €19 abv: 14%
75cl Bottle
Our first organic addition to the top-tier from Terres Fidèles. This is a blend of Grenache and Carignan, a wine of power but not at the cost of elegance and finesses. A beautiful balance of dark and light. Grenache brings with it huge dark brooding fruit, great concentration and rich texture, whilst Carignan adds freshness, acidity, and bright fruit which marks out this very singular wine.
Mont Rocher Viognier
Languedoc I.G.P
RRP: €16 | Mixed Case Price: €14.50 abv: 13%
75cl Bottle
The very aromatic Viognier produces its aromas at a certain stage of maturation. A haunting honeysuckle and apricot aroma and rich, almost unctuous palate that is somehow still dry, tangy and refreshing. If choosing a wine for Christmas Day for a group, this is the white wine I would choose. It over-delivers in every way.
Domaine Michel Thomas & Fils Sancerre
Loire Valley, France
RRP: €30 | Mixed Case Price: €26 abv: 13%
75cl Bottle
From a father and son with an absolute passion for their vines, this is a vibrant, mineral, thoroughbred classic from Central Loire. It is, of course, Sancerre – the world’s greatest expression of Sauvignon, a wine of superb elegance and complexity.
*12 Bottle Case contains 2 of each*
*From time to time vintages/wines may become unavailable, it is rare but in this instance we will replace the wine with a similar wine of equal or greater value.
