Country: France  Region: Pessac Leognan Graves Bordeaux

Varietal: 55% Cabernet Sauvignon / 45% Merlot

Vintage: 2016 Category: Red Wine Style: Dry

Producer: Château Bruilleau

Le Bruilleau  has been a family property for four generations, managed by  husband & wife team  Nadine and Serge Bedicheau, whose vineyard occupies more than ten hectares of vines including 2 hectares of white.

At  Château Le Bruilleau, the harvest is manual and all the vines benefit from the best care.

Tasting notes
This wine from the excellent 2016 vintage  had aromatic  dark red fruit aromas with a hint of meatiness.  On the palate it is dry with balanced acidity and well structured tannins.  Excellent weight of ripe dark red fruits and a hint of cedar wood.  The wine has layers of complex ripe fruit flavours  with some vanilla tones.  A delicious wine, with great length and a long finish.  While this wine is drinking well it is capable of ageing for many years to come.   91 points Decanter Magazine

Food Suggestion: A classic with steak, any rich red meats, or a selection of aged hard cheeses.

Closure: Natural Cork  ABV:14%
