Chateau La Gaffeliere Saint Emilion Grand Cru Classé 2016

Country: France Region: Bordeaux (St.Emilion)

Varietal: Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon

Vintage: 2016 Colour: Red Style: Dry

Producer: Chateau La Gaffeliere

Description:

Château La Gaffelière 2016 boasts a very dark colour, inky with blue highlights. This wine displays remarkable class and a disconcerting aromatic and gustatory depth. Pure and tense from the olfactory attack, the nose expresses aromatic brilliance with freshly picked black fruits. Stirring reveals a very aromatic freshness. The entry is dynamic, the mid-palate expresses a very refined tannic structure, which is delicate, so fine in fact that we forget the presence of tannins. The wine is dense, very dense but without giving up its elegance. This is an aesthetic wine: truly 3-dimensional. Serve with meat dishes, veal, pork, beef, lamb, duck, game, chicken, roasted, braised, stewed, and grilled dishes.
